I hear there’s live country at Celley’s, 742 Western Ave, and that it’s the “Old school” kind. 9pm

Saturday, 1-29

1. The opening reception for LynnArts‘ annual Mixed Media Show runs from 2 – 4pm at 25 Exchange Street. Curated by Steve Negron. Live music provided by Clay Ventre with Brian Donnelly on Sax. TLGUTS will be open until 6pm with Cuba: In Form and Subterranean will be open if you’d like to shop for books and music.

2. Lynn Supports the Troops and the Volunteer Yacht Club present the Brady Comedy Bash. Tickets are $20 each and money raised pays for a shipment of packages to the troops on Valentine’s Day! 7pm at 68 Lynnway. Mouse-over the listing on the right for the line-up of comics and more information.

3. No Soap Radio returns for another installment at Walnut Street Cafe, presented by Black Dog Brother and featuring a variety of guest performers. 157 Walnut St. 8:30pm.

4. It’s Inappropriate T-Shirt Night with Supertonic at the Sand Bar. There will be a prize for the most inappropriate t-shirt. Inappropriateness starts at 9pm with Supertonic providing the soundtrack.

Sunday, 1-30

Don White’s Open Mic at Walnut Street features Danielle Miraglia. Starts 6:30-ish. Feature goes on 8:30-ish.
