Thursday, 6/16

1. Rally for Relief at Lynnway Sportscenter with DJ Jimmy ICE. Portions of food, drink and bowling sales will go to Tornado relief. 6pm at 497 Lynnway.

2. The Navs play the New Bedford Bay Sox at Fraser Field, 6:15pm.

3. Arts After Hours presents: 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in the Neal Rantoul Theatre in LynnArts, 25 Exchange Street. Click the ad on the right to purchase tickets. Friday, 6/17

1.  King and Queen of Lynn Basketball Tournament at Lynn Tech, signups at 5pm. Sponsored by Parks and Rec.

Saturday, 5/18

1. Wyoma Little League will recycle your obsolete electronics in a fundraiser held at the Sisson School parking lot from 10am to 3pm. $30 for a carload or small truck.

2. A Guided three hour tour of Lynn Woods includes Dungeon Rock and the renovated Stone Tower. Pennybrook Road entrance, 10am.

3. The Food and Fitness Festival on the Lynn Commons from 10am to 2pm includes activities, games, volleyball and even salsa lessons. Learn about local resources for healthy food and fitness. There will also be information  on urban gardening and home garden starter kits.

4. Parks and Rec is sponsoring a BMX Bike Competition at Robert McManus park on Neptune Blvd. Get there at noon, 1pm start time. Proper safety equipment is required (helmets, for example) and children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

5. Lynn’s Got Talent is a fundraiser for a youth group at St Stephen’s Church, 74 South Common Street. $5 to get in. See the listing on the right for more details.
