Kingsley Flood

Arts After Hours has teamed up with Ryan’s Smashing Life (rslblog.com) to bring together Boston music scene’s much celebrated bands, OldJack and Kingsley Flood.

OldJack is a great old-time rock and soul band, for anyone who loves rock, soul, blues and jazz.

Kingsley Flood, with their blend of folk, rock, punk, and Americana, has been called the best live set you can enjoy in New England today. Visit rslblog.com for more information and recent reviews of both bands.

The event will also feature art for sale and demonstrations by local artists in jewelry, photography, furniture and more. AAH welcomes Paula Tennyson Photography, Christie Connolly owner of OASIS Open Art Studio, Henna Body Art by Jeff Pearlstein, OXFORDphoto, and as a special treat, Olde Soul Photography will be previewing their upcoming gallery show (Centerboard’s VisionSpace Grand Opening July 20) in the park. Music in the art space will be provided by local favorite, Black Dog Brother.

“The Back Yard Bash was Arts After Hours’ first event ever in 2009,” says Corey Jackson, Managing Director. “To celebrate our birthday, we’re combining great bands, amazing artists, and delicious food for quite the outdoor party!”

The fun won’t end at the Museum. The official Back Yard Bash After-Party will take place at Tatiana’s Restaurant, 70 Market Street, Lynn, as soon as the main event ends.

Ryan’s Smashing Life (rslblog.com) is New England’s most widely read music and entertainment blog reaching upwards to a million readers each year both here in the greater Boston area and around the world. The website, in operation since 2006, is the subject of an upcoming network television show, celebrating RSL being at the center of music discovery – helping indicate and export local New England talent, all the while, importing great new sounds to local readers. It’s this kind of mixing pot that has helped the website book larger and larger festival showcase lineups – working with some of the best music today.”

OldJack is New England’s best old-time rock and soul band. Soul and passion are paints in singer Dan Nicklin’s pallet. And with an unbelievable lineup of singers and musicians stand behind him, creating magical performances; offering fans some of the most rewarding live sets we’ve seen. This one set will have something for everyone – OldJack is a sure bet for fans of rock, soul, blues and jazz – this is one set you will not want to miss!”

Kingsley Flood are quite possibly the perfect mix of folk, rock, punk and Americana. They are also one of the regions best live acts, capable of getting audiences clapping, knee-slapping and dancing in place. Probably one of the best song-writing outfits New England has to offer, they provide an excellent foil to touring big names. We just barely caught them with Langhorne Slim, Son of the Sun and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals (amongst others). Trust us when we tell you that you could be watching the best live act in New England today on this stage.”
