U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant Jose Beato, a native of Lynn, Massachusetts, was honored prior to the start of the New England Patriots game at Gillette Stadium on Veterans Day, November 11th.
Courtesy of Cross Insurance, “Gunny Beato” and his two children (Lewel, age 7 and Edward, age 3 had the honor of taking the field from the players’ tunnel, carrying official game balls and passing them to team mascot Pat Patriot. Beato is a 12-year veteran of the Marines and is a veteran of the war in Iraq.
