Frederick Douglass Reading at Library Now Moved to Tuesday, Feb 18

UPDATE: Received another message from the event organizer. The storm is worse than thought, and the reading is moved to Tuesday.

We live in a topsy-turvy world where it’s news when something is not cancelled due to a storm, so here’s Julia Greene’s comment from under the original post to give the event a boost:

It is Thursday, February 13, 2014 and we are still on at the Lynn Public Library starting at 3:00 p.m. to read OUT-LOUD “The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass”. Douglass wrote his autobiography here in Lynn, Mass during the snowy winter of 1845, much like this winter of 2014. If you have cabin fever–or not–come on down, stay as long as you want and read along, read out loud or just listen, make some art, and have some cake to both celebrate Douglass who was born in February, and Black History Month. We usually finish between 7:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Editorial note: If you’re planning on driving, please check first to see if the tentative 3pm parking ban has been enacted.
