Lynn Historical Commission seeks your nominations

From the Lynn Historical Commission –

The 4th annual Lynn Historical Commission Significance Awards nomination season is underway.

The Significance Awards are bestowed on deserving individuals or groups who have preserved or restored significant examples of historical structures or sites.

The categories are:

  • Residential
  • Commercial
  • Public / Open Space
  • Devotion Award – given to an individual who has shown particular dedication to historic preservation ideals.

The deadline for all nominations is 3pm, Thursday April 24, to SigAwards co-chairs Calvin Anderson or Katerina Koudanis, c/o Mayor Kennedy’s Office at Lynn City Hall.

All submissions received later will be considered for the 2015 Awards.  The nominations will be considered by the Lynn Historical Commission for voting at the regular May 6, 6:30pm meeting, and the Awards will be given at a ceremony in Mayor Kennedy’s Office on June 3, at 6:30pm.

This will be rather difficult considering some of the historical properties that have been torn down lately..does anyone have a prelimnary list? Thanks
