Ghosts of Lynn is a collaboration of Raw Art Works, Lynn Museum, visionspace gallery and the Downtown Lynn Cultural District for the latest round of photos under the bridge.

Today’s event included food from Paaasteliots, a barber shop quartet, and your LynnHappens editor, Seth Albaum, DJ’ing 50’s/60’s soul and motown to compliment the “Ghosts” from the past theme. Raffle prizes were also drawn by Downtown Lynn Cultural District Director Emily Ruddock and Lynn Museum Director Kate Luchini. (It was a challenge to cover all while also participating.)

“Ghosts of Lynn will merge Lynn’s past with its present. Students in the Real to Reel Film School program at Raw Art Works, in collaboration with the Lynn Museum, unearthed historical photographs of the greater Central Square area. By matching the exact vantage point of old photos (often, well over 100+ years old) and finding the exact location the old photos were taken from, Real to Reel students re-created the photos, and then in post-production, created a melding of the two to produce a truly unique vision of Lynn’s history attached to the here and now.” – lifted from event page
