Lynn Y awards night underway at Museum

Here’s a few quick shots of the Lynn YMCA’s “Lynn Shining Stars” awards night and fundraiser, underway as this posts. For information about the event and its award recipients, please see the event post from September 30th.

Music by Kina Zoré, “one of the hottest Afro-pop bands in Boston”


This evenings award recipients are:

  • Legacy Award to Joseph Picano, Fine Arts Director for Lynn Public Schools.
  • Spotlight Award to honor influential musicians, bands and educators on the Lynn music scene. The Spotlight honorees include Brian Maes, Corey and Sarah Jackson, Tony Gallo, Fame or Juliet and Julio Barre.
  • Rising Star Award to new arrivals on the Lynn music scene with a bright future. Honorees include Joseph Brunet, Anthony Migliaccio, Sylvester Yarpah and Sarah Barnard.

All proceeds from Lynn’s Shining Stars will go to benefit the Lynn Y Music Studio Clubhouse.

The Lynn Museum plays host to an increasing array of events. Tomorrow night is “History and Hops,” a beer tasting that is a fundraiser for museum programs. More about History and Hops
