This Christmassy stage adaptation is based on the classic film, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, which starred Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye.

Stepping into the dancing shoes of Crosby and Kaye are James Clow (Bob Wallace) and Jeremy Benton (Phil Davis), two war veterans who bring their popular vaudeville act to a Vermont inn run by their tough as nails former General Waverly who is down on his luck.

Making a stop at Jimmy’s Back Room, Wallace and Davis recruit Betty (Trista Moldovan) and Judy Haynes (Kaitlyn Davidson), a sister-duo, to help them out. As for the romantic chemistry of this four-some, there is none.

Clow’s vocals are strong, but he lacks the charm needed for a leading man. Benton is great as the dopey and scheming side-kick.

The second act opens with a spirited tap number “I Love a Piano,” partnering Davidson and Benton. The intricate dance steps were amazing and a crowd pleaser.

The film and stage versions differ, but it is the music that is the real star of this production. The simple sets help you focus on the performers and their lively dance sequences.

White Christmas lacks some of the charm of the film version, but it is still full of sentiment and nostalgic holiday cheer that will leave you satisfied.

Show runs 2 hr and 30 minutes including intermission
