Girls Incorporated of Lynn wins 2015 Outstanding Affiliate Award, an award presented by Girls Incorporated National, to affiliates in the U.S. or Canada that have surpassed their service goals. The award was presented to Girls Inc. of Lynn’s Executive Director, Deb Ansourlian, on April 20, 2015 at the Girls Inc. National Conference in St. Louis, Missouri.
“This award is such an honor. It is certainly a very proud moment for me, on behalf of the Girls Inc. of Lynn Board of Directors. Our Executive Director, Deb Ansourlian, has been here for three years and this award is certainly a reflection of her knowledge, experience and leadership of an extraordinary team. I am so appreciative of Girls Inc. National’s recognition of our work” said Julia Greene, President of Girls Inc. of Lynn Board of Directors.
The Outstanding Affiliate Award candidates must meet an extensive list of considerations to win the award. Girls Inc. of Lynn met and exceeded all criteria, some of which include: growth in the number of girls served with impact, increase in revenues raised, and increase in total service hours to girls, as well as the number of programs provided. As a result of outstanding service, 98% of Girls Inc. of Lynn’s senior girls move on to four year colleges after completing their programs. The organization has excelled and continues to seek ways to connect more girls, in the North Shore community, with life-changing Girls Inc. programs and services.
“We are thrilled to honor Girls Inc. of Lynn with the 2015 Outstanding Affiliate Award for their record growth in number of girls served and overall excellence in management and service delivery,” said Judy Vredenburgh, Girls Inc. President and CEO. “The board and staff of Girls Inc. of Lynn have set the bar very high and I wish them continued success in achieving transformational change for many more girls.”
