SD: Since childhood you and your family have consistently been in the public eye. How do you deal with it – the good and the bad?
MJ: It is part of the business. We have learned to take it all with a grain of salt – the good and the bad. You have to be ready for it all kinds of criticism, especially with social media. We have learned you can’t please all. The downside to being a celebrity is when we are attacked, it also affects our families.
SD: It has been more than 20 years since you last toured with your brothers, how was it getting back on stage with them?
MJ: We never lost it. We planned on touring with Michael, but it never happened. Our fans have requested for us to tour again. When we reunited back in 2012, we had 45 dates and we fell right back in sync. It was truly magical. Performing with my brother again was like riding a bike. You never forget.
SD: You have been nicknamed “Dancing Machine” and “the Dancingest Jackson.” Do you still have the moves?
MJ: I still got them!!!! Oh yes!!!
SD: So many songs in your catalog, how to you choose which songs to perform?
MJ: It is very difficult because we want to sing them all. Each show, we do change up our routine. We definitely try to make our fans happy with our song choices.
SD: Will there be a tribute to Michael during the show?
MJ: Yes, we always pay tribute to him. He was our brother and a great entertainer. From the very beginning, he was part of the success. We always feel his presence and spirit with us on stage. We also perform some of his hit songs.
