The 2016 Run For Freedom 5k to end Modern Day Slavery was Saturday, May 21st. Runners met in the morning in front of Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee on Munroe Street, right across form where The Food Project was about to have its Farm Fest.
“Run for Freedom is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising support for local organizations that provide services to victims of human trafficking. Over 15,000 people are trafficked each year in the united states alone. We are committed to raising awareness for an issue that people don’t realize exists right here in our own city.”
Isaac Subillaga of Isaac S. Photography was there, and as more than photographer. “Volunteered this Saturday alongside with Off The Grid Photographers from the Lynn Shelter Association. We covered the 2016 Run for Freedom” he says on his facebook page.
The photos taken by Lynn Shelter Association clients Saturday will be unveiled with their other photos at an exhibit of their work being planned along with a fundraiser September 17th in the LynnArts building of the Lynn Museum/LynnArts campus.
