On July 3rd at High Rock Tower folks gathered for the 6th annual reading of Frederick Douglass’ speech on the meaning of Independence Day for the slave.

They also came for entertainment, pony rides, food, and a commanding view of the fireworks, which are July 3rd for Lynn and Swampscott.

The event was sponsored in part by Mass Humanities.
