Community Path of Lynn Party and Mural Unveiling

There was a block party and mural unveiling on Neptune Street Court Saturday organized by Lisa Wallace of One Community, One Voice and neighbors, Bike to the Sea and the Raw Art Work’s Good 2 Go Crew, who created the mural.

Neighbors banded together to clean up a portion of the old railway through West Lynn that Bike to the Sea has been trying to incorporate into the Northern Strand Community¬†Trail, which begins in Malden and ends at the Lynn border. Mayor Kennedy identified some liability concerns regarding the rail bed’s conversion to public space back in 2011 that have yet to be resolved. Recently, Lynn neighbors and Bike to the Sea have collaborated to clean up a section to become the “Community Path of Lynn.”

For a little background on the project, here’s our coverage of RAW’s Good 2 Go Crew when they presented their mural ideas in March.
