5 Questions: Santa Claus

5 Questions is a series by Steve Duffy –

T’was a few days before Christmas and all through Lynn, not a creature was stirring, except for some very excited kids all awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus.  With Christmas so close, I was very excited to get an interview with Santa Claus.

SD: Santa, how old are you?

Santa: It’s a secret! Ho, ho, ho! I can’t remember, but I think I states it on my reindeer driving license.

SD: Is it true that you know when kids are bad or good?

Santa: It sure is! I use my magical snow globe, and I can see all the kids around the world. Plus, I am always checking my list to see who has been naughty or nice.

SD: How do you get in a house or apartment with no chimney?

Santa: When I first started delivering presents, every house had a chimney, but that was a long time ago. Now, many houses, condos & apartments don’t have them. The elves crafted a universal key that allows me to enter any door. Honestly, I rather slide down the chimney because it’s so much fun! But, if there is no chimney, then I use the key.

SD: Do you really eat all of the cookies and milk that are left out for you?

Santa: Oh yes! Delivering toys is so much work and I get really hungry! Sometimes, I do share with the reindeer.

SD: Do you have a message to the children out there who are reading this?

Santa: Well, since Christmas is right around the corner, be as good as you can. Help your parents, be kind to strangers, and remember, Christmas is a time for peace, love, and hope. Merry Christmas, ho, ho, ho!
