Here are some of the fine folks, young and old, who helped out around Lynn today on various projects.

There was a non-perishable food drive at Stop & Shop and Compare Supermarkets organized by the Lynn Youth Health Alliance (sadly, didn’t get that on camera). Last year, they collected roughly 400lbs of food.

The Lynn YMCA had a free event for kids called, “One Dream, One Team.” The volunteer team for that event is pictured below.

And the Lynn Community Association and partners had their annual MLK Day of Service, this year based out of the Washington Street Baptist Church with service projects throughout the city. Roughly 250 volunteers were registered and over 50 additional walked in the doors today. Kids made over 400 Valentines for area seniors and vets while others worked on a mural for a shelter. This evening, they will be serving dinner at My Brother’s Table.
