White Rose Coffeehouse has been a busy place, lately. There are two nights in the photo gallery, but the bulk of the photos are of Robert Smith’s Art show, which had an opening reception Saturday with his son Derek Smith’s band, The Cosmic Vultures. For an opening, Smith performed with his wife, Gia Smith, an outfit they call Folkin’ Around. White Rose’s Patrick Nelson played a few, and as a surprise, a musician on tour based out of Las Vegas, TJ Hoopes aka What’s Awesome?, stopped in to close out the night.
On Friday, Highway Chapel played a scaled-down acoustic show featuring Rev. Joseph Fagan, an active member of the greater Boston music scene since the 70’s.
