James Cole and the Classic Rock Show will be performing songs from classic rock’s greatest moments, which include music from AC/DC, Aerosmith, Eric Clapton, The Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Meatloaf, Queen, and The Who. They will be bringing the original iconic recordings back to life on stage, with a huge sound and light show to match, plus much, much more!
SD: What is the song that made you want to pick up the guitar?
JC: I studied music from a very early age. Since my father is a music promoter in the UK, I grew up around music and musicians my entire life. I begin playing guitar when I was 15 years old and it just kind of stuck.
SD: The first guitar you owned was?
JC: It was a guitar that I stole from my father when I started taking lessons and I still own it today.
SD: What the one song you can really get lost in while playing?
JC: Its “Free Bird.” For me, playing that song in the show is such a fantastic moment. I really hope the US audience will enjoy it as much as I do.
SD: How did you get involved in the Classic Rock Show?
JC: It started as a side project for the Brit Floyd band, but as the band became more popular it was getting harder to keep some of the original members in the Classic Rock Show. So now we have our own members and we perform the songs with such a level of detail not done before.
SD: What can the fan expect to see / hear at the show?
JC: They can expect a night of nostalgia. We want to take you back to when you first heard these songs. I want the audience to be able to close their eyes and pretend they are listening to the album for the very first time again. If we do that, then I feel like we did our job as a band.
