Lynn artist Christie Connolly has always tapped in to her creative side. She started sketching at a young age and capitalized on her love of music to become a successful DJ and Karaoke host. She also loves education and is a lifelong student, obtaining degrees and certifications in Media Technology, Computer Graphic Design and Massage Therapy.

While attending Lesley University’s Adult Learning program, Christie took a painting class and discovered her natural talent of putting a brush to canvas. It was at this time that she also took an Expressive Therapy class that combined the study of art and behavior. As Christie had always been interested in behavioral studies, she found this to be the perfect fit and pursued her Graduate Studies in Art Therapy. She is now a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and has started her own practice.

In addition to her art therapy practice, Christie is a working artist and shows in galleries throughout the North Shore. You can view and purchase her amazing and expressive pieces this Sunday, March 19th at the Spring Art and Shopping Show at the Michael Naimo Studio & Gallery located at 18 Commercial St. in Salem. The show runs from 4:30-7:00 and will showcase the works of numerous artists. There is no cover, just lots of irresistible stuff for sale!
