4/7/17[UPDATE] Link to CALL FOR ARTISTS
“Beyond Walls is a group of community partners, downtown residents and business owners organized by Al Wilson and Amanda Hill, seeking funds for a placemaking project in downtown Lynn featuring public art and lighting installations. MassDevelopment has offered a Commonwealth Places grant, contributing $50,000 to the project if Beyond Walls meets a fundraising target of $50,000 in 60 days.”
The party at the museum featured food from many fine Lynn dining establishments including Old Tyme Italian, Jeni’s Joy (opening soon in the Blood Bldg), Lynn Meatland & Eastern Harvest Foods, John’s Roast Beef & Seafood, Blue Ox, Brother’s Deli,Tacos Lupita, White Rose Coffeehouse, Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee, and let us know if we left anyone out. Bent Water Brewing Company provided the adult sodas, and celebrity bartenders including Mayor Kennedy and Ward 1 Councilor Wayne Lozzi helped serve up cocktails made with spirits from Short Path Distillery in Everett.
THANK YOU LYNN! Over 150 Lynn Residents turned out to an event tonight at the Lynn Museum to support and help us reach our $50,000 goal in an incredible outpouring of community support and investment in the future of Downtown Lynn. While our campaign goal has been reached we still need to raise more funding to support our stretch goal detailed below and all donations over our goal will go DIRECTLY to Beyond Walls. Please continue to support until our campaign ends on May 22nd. THANK YOU!
