The greater Lynn community, Lynn Museum/LynnArts community, neighbors and strangers came out Monday night to a candlelight vigil for Easter Sunday shooting victim Leonardo Clement. Another man was also shot and remains hospitalized.
Clergy from a number of houses of worship and representatives from a number of downtown organizations were present, some spoke. Senator McGee also made remarks, as well as Ward 6 Councilor Peter Capano. Ward 5 Councilor Dianna Chakoutis was present, as well as several School Committee members. Patrick Nelson from White Rose Coffeehouse performed to close out the evening, but many stayed behind to talk and introduce themselves to folks they haven’t met before, thereby strengthening community.
