From Global Embassy of Activists for Peace –
According to World Health Organization “The lives and health of millions of people are affected by emergencies every year. In the last decade, disasters have caused more than 1 million deaths, with more than 250 million people being affected by emergencies every year. Natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods and storms create considerable needs for emergency health care, while at the same time, often destroying vital health facilities as well. Man-made disasters such as road accidents and armed conflicts also generate substantial health care demands and the need for front-line treatment.”
‘There is a constant need for blood donation and it is true that we will never know when an accident can happen to us or a loved one – a friend, a family member, a colleague. They could be in need of a blood transfusion at any time and that is why it is important for us to continue divulging this message, so that blood centers and banks are ready with this vital liquid. “Life is in the Blood” is an integral educational communication program that is being developed in more than 20 countries by the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace, In Lynn, MA our desire is to make a record amount of blood pints collected in one day and that is why we invite you, residents and neighbors of Lynn to come out, donate blood and be part of this act of solidarity, kindness and love for life, after all, we have to remind #AllLivesMatter, said the volunteer and Regional Coordinator, Juan Gonzalez.
