Organizers behind the Brickyard Collaborative Maker Space initiative held a meet and greet-style event for the public at Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee on Munroe Street in downtown Lynn today.

They’ve been hard at work drumming up interest and searching potential spaces throughout Lynn, and in particular, downtown Lynn, for easy access to transportation and proximity to North Shore Community College, Lynn Tech, KIPP, and other programs complimentary to their mission.

Meanwhile, they’re accepting volunteer/member signups and have provided a wealth of other information on their website, here as well as in this faq, handed out at the meet and greet. (pdf)

Attendees included interested Lynn residents, a few city councilors, area political candidates and some folks from neighboring communities.
