You can attend a brief lecture on this moment in Lynn History at the Lynn Museum, Monday, February 26 at 5:30pm.

From community organizer Michelle Guzmán –

On February 28th, 1860, women workers at the shoe and textile factories in Lynn walked the streets in a procession along with men to demand equal pay for their labor – for the same work done by men.

This was the largest industrial strike in the US., and it started in Lynn. This was a revolutionary and brave proposal by women in that time.
