On Your Feet!
On Your Feet! is the inspiring true story about heart, heritage, and two people who believed in their talent—and each other—to become an international sensation: Gloria and Emilio Estefan.
Although the show is based on the Estefan’s rise to fame, the only reason to see the show is for the music. There personal story is not that captivating or any more interesting than your neighbors. The musical is just another showbiz biography.
It’s not their story that makes the show great, it’s their sound and music!
Christie Prades as Gloria and Mauricio Martinez as Emilio are perfect! Their onstage chemistry is exhilarating. Both portray the right mixture of passion, joy, and heartbreak.
The supporting cast provided the support needed to propel the show. Other stand-out performances belonged to Debra Cardona as Gloria’s Consuelo and Nancy Ticotin as Gloria’s mother.
The dancers are amazing! Their moves are strong, exuberant, and precise. Their energy level was high and flying.
On Your Feet! features some of the most iconic songs of the past quarter-century, including “Rhythm is Gonna Get You,” “Conga,” “Get On Your Feet,” “Don’t Want To Lose You Now,” “1-2-3” and “Coming Out of the Dark.”
If the Infectious rhythms or dancing don’t move you to your feet, then you must be dead!
RUNNING TIME: 2 hours and 15 minutes, with 1 intermission
