Coming up in May
Here’s what’s in store for May at Lynn Museum / LynnArts –
Life Drawing at LynnArts goes on location for ArtWeek 2018!
Work from a model in a leotard in a rich, warm environment with lots of composition potential. Expand your drawing techniques to include more than just the model – add an environment in which to set her!
Notes: We now have some easels for you to use! If you’d like an easel, come early. We also have tables and chairs. Also, bring art materials and drop cloths if you will be using paints. This is an open studio, not a class.

2018 Lynn Museum Annual Meeting
Please join us for our annual meeting on Thursday, May 3rd at 6pm.
Our speaker will be Garrison Nelson, author of John William McCormack–A Political Biography.
Professor Nelson grew up in Lynn and is a 1959 graduate of Lynn Classical High School and is now a professor of Law, Politics, and Political Behavior at the University of Vermont. His topic for the night will be “Friendly Enemies: The Kennedys, the McCormacks, and National Politics.”
Professor Nelson will have copies of his book available for sale after the talk.
This program is free and open to the public.
Save the date! Wednesday, May 9th at 12PM is our next MESA, our free monthly educational program. This month, we will be viewing the All City Art Exhibit at LynnArts. This exhibit features inspiring works of art from the students of the Lynn Public Schools. We will meet at the museum at noon and walk to LynnArts together.
Questions? Email Elena at Elena@lynnmuseum.org. MESA is our Museum Enrichment Series for Adults and is a free program.
“In the Moment” Memory Cafe

This monthly program provides opportunities to network and enjoy refreshments, connect with caregiver support specialists, and–if you like–join in creative projects and interactive learning.
This month’s theme is April Showers Bring May Flowers, Flowers—with their unique colors, shapes, and scents–can stimulate the mind and memories. In May, we will create our own beautiful floral arrangements.
