On Thursday, June 27, 2018, Beyond Walls supporters, volunteers and even folks passing by gathered at the Washington Street commuter rail overpass for the lighting ceremony.
A small section had been teased back in April, but the LED lights now stretch from Central Square, across Washington and Market Streets.
The switch was thrown by Lynn Tech interns on the project, Cameron Fentress, Jose Zacarias, and Rartha Chrisna Kou Thach. The ceremony included drummers, Cultura Latina dancers, and a few speeches – videos and photos below.
