Arts After Hours is having a series of workshops this summer – FREE to all Lynn students

Sunday July 22 – 10am-2pm | Resumes & Headshots
with Samantha Gambaccini & Erik Swanson

Neal Rantoul Blackbox Theatre
25 Exchange Street, Lynn

Be ready for any audition like a pro. All participants will leave this workshop with both digital and hard copies of a resume, and a digital professional headshot to print. Come with any ideas. We will help you build both from the bottom up!

All events are **FREE** to Lynn students with student ID,
including graduating class of 2018!
All other students are welcome at the day rate of $50

Thursday July 26 – 4pm-8pm
High School Audition Workshop
with Brit Christopher

This workshop prepares high school students interested in theatre for the expectation of community and professional auditions. Where do I look? How do I stand? What do I say? What do I bring? How do I prepare? All these questions answered in this workshop geared specifically to high school actors. Workshop participants will learn how to give an appropriate introduction, enjoy hands-on practice with audition monologues, and dive into cold reading. The workshop would include individual and partner coaching. No need to bring selections with you! All levels of experience welcome.

Saturday August 25 – 12pm-4pm
Lighting Design & Operation
with Erik Fox

Learn the art and craft of stage lighting! Professional lighting designer Erik Fox will guide you through safe practices towards realizing a lighting design. Topics include: Basic stage electricity, types of lighting, console programming, hanging, color, theory, and more. Workshop will be catered to participants and will take place in the Neal Rantoul Black Box Theatre.

Monday August 27 – 4pm-8pm
The Business of Theatre
with Catherine Bertrand

Have you ever wanted to produce your own show but have no idea where to start? The Business of Theatre Workshop will guide you from finding the perfect script or project to getting the show produced! From finding space to finding money all the way to opening night and everything in between this workshop will explain each step of the process. Come with questions or just to listen and learn more. All levels of experience welcome. All students will leave having created the perfect “pitch” for their project as well as with a handbook that includes an outline of the process and resources to get you started on your first dream project!
