5 Questions: Santa Claus
T’was a few weeks before Christmas and all through Lynn, not a creature was stirring, except for some very excited kids all awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus. With Christmas so close, I was very excited to get an interview with Santa Claus.
SD: Santa, where is the North Pole?
Santa: The North Pole is at the very top of the world. It is covered in ice & snow! There are also some animals that live there. We have reindeer, polar bears, arctic foxes, walruses, and a few moose. They love the cold weather.
SD: Do the elves help you out with the wrapping of the presents?
Santa: They sure do! Elves and I have other helpers too, like sometimes, moms and dads help me.
SD: How do you get in a house or apartment with no chimney?
Santa: When I first started delivering presents, every house had a chimney, but that was a long time ago. Now, many houses, condos & apartments don’t have them. The elves crafted a universal key that allows me to enter any door. Honestly, I rather slide down the chimney because it’s so much fun! But, if there is no chimney, then I use the key.
SD: What’s your favorite cookie?
Santa: I Love cookies! I don’t have a favorite. I love when the children leave me their favorite. I get to taste so many cookies from around the world. It is always an amazing treat. With so many houses to visit, I usually take one bite, and then I bring the rest home to the elves.
SD: Do you have a message to the children out there who are reading this?
Santa: Well, since Christmas is right around the corner, be as good as you can. Help your parents, be kind to strangers, and remember, Christmas is a time for peace, love, and hope. Merry Christmas, ho, ho, ho!
