More information in this letter from The Community Path of Lynn Coalition –
As someone who takes pride in our community, we wanted to reach out to you directly and ask you to be engaged with the development of The Community Path of Lynn Coalition.
The Northern Strand Community Trail – which can accommodate cyclists, walkers, runners and community members interested in beautifying their neighborhoods alike – stretches across the Boston Area from Metro North and even reaches points in the North Shore, but there is one critical piece that’s missing – the City of Lynn! We’re asking you to help change that.
We have an opportunity to integrate Lynn as a key destination bridging the North Shore with the immediate Boston Area, as well as help unite Lynn residents in a common purpose with positive results for us all. We plan on building this path from scratch along a defunct rail trail owned by the MBTA – a popular concept that many communities across Massachusetts have already implemented with great results.
We’re asking you to support in building a fully functioning organization that will bring needed resources and opportunities into isolated neighborhoods abutting the railroad. As you may have heard the story about one dedicated Lynner from Ward 6 that was the driving force for this Community Path concept, YES! That all work, no play Lynner is Lisa Wallace. Mrs. Wallace has spent the last 8 Years fighting to revitalize her neighborhood (which was successfully executed in 2016) and the neighborhoods abutting the railroad. Wallace founded The Community Path of Lynn Coalition and became a legal 501C3. Wallace understood that a united community would strengthen the city’s economic growth and development and raise community standards. Empowering the neighborhood became her priority. Unifying the City Of Lynn became her mission.
We know you’re someone who cares deeply about our city and its fortunes. It’s why we are reaching out to you personally – your commitment to our organization could help make or break it. Your contribution will help build the foundation for this organization to begin this amazing project. All of the designs, planning, and organizing is done, we need the means to put it into action.
To show just how much your support means to the Coalition, your donation will be part of the paths history. Your donation will help build the actual path by a commemorative brick engraved with your business or personal name and if you choose we have other options for clip art or your logo. Brick by brick, step by step, together we can pave the way to raising the standard of living for all Lynn residents and businesses. To hear more about our plans and to see the design concepts please join us Thursday, February 28, from 6-10 PM at the Lynn Museum. Can’t make it to the event but would still like to order your brick you can click HERE
If a brick is not your thing but you would still like to help, we accept donations of any amount, and we are grateful for them! Please send a check or money order to:
