July 3rd

  • The 9th Annual community Celebration at High Rock Park is 6pm to 11pm
    • Please join Mass Humanities, the Lynn Cultural Council and your hosts the Parks Department of Lynn for our 9th Annual reading of Frederick Douglass’ speech on the meaning of Independence Day for the slave.
      Bring a picnic, enjoy free pony rides, music, and a tour of the Tower.
      Come celebrate freedom of speech with your Community!
      We welcome Across The Border Food Truck, Uncommon Feasts and Dylan & Pete’s Ice Cream Truck!”


  • Lois Lane and the Daily Planets play Red Rock Park at 7pm to kick of the Friends of Lynn & Nahant Beach Summer Concert series
  • Fireworks begin at Lynn & Nahant beaches approximately 9:15pm. Lynn Shore Drive will be closed to traffic!

July 4th

  • The Pine Hill Civic Association 4th of July Parade & Celebration is 8:15am to noon
    • “8:15AM Parade Registration: Corner of Lovers Leap Ave. & Bellevue Rd.9:00AM Parade to the Park: PARADE ROUTE: Bellevue Rd., Pine Rd., Woodlawn Street, Tapley St. to Gallagher Park. Every child in costumes receives $1. The parade ends at Gallagher Park where cash prices will be awarded to the winners in each of the following categories:

      The fun will continue with races and games for children of all ages. Pony rides and water fun!
      Winners of the Christopher E. Spagnoli, Robert Erickson & John Holland Memorial Scholarships will be awarded.

      We would like to remind ALL participants that the parade is for the children. No motorized vehicles will be allowed in the parade. The children’s safety is our #1 concern.”

  • Sluice Pond Association July 4th Boat Parade, 12pm to 1pm
    • “Dress up your boats and show off your July 4th spirit! Parade will start at the launch ramp (at noon), we’ll take a spin around the pond to show off our spirit, and the awards ceremony will be held immediately following the parade. Prize categories for motorized and non-motorized boats!”
  • Sluice Pond Association July 4th Flare Lighting, 9pm to 11pm
    • “We are returning to the tradition of lighting flares at 9pm on the waterfront (docks, yards, boats, etc). Flares can be purchased for approximately $2/ea at Wyoma Square True Value – get them early before they run out.”
