City sponsors free outdoor movies
On Friday, July 9th, Mayor Kennedy & The Office of Community Development present the original Karate Kid for free in Kiley Park. Bring a blanket, snacks, and show your kids the real deal. Before the film, watch a demonstration at 8:00pm by Master Lou Hopkins of East Coast Karate & Aerobic Fitness Center in Central Square.
Kiley Park is located on Seymour Ave. near Lewis St. and Eastern Ave.
On July 23rd, the classic film, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, will show downtown in Central Square, next to 25 Exchange St (LynnArts bldg). It starts when it gets dark, probably between 8:30 and 9:00. Get there early with chairs, or a blanket if you prefer, and your choice of snacks and refreshments. Bring the kids! Or, get a babysitter and enjoy one of DTL’s great establishments after the movie, including Turbine, the Blue Ox, Tatiana’s, The Sand Bar, Blue Note, Fran’s, 47 Central, and others.
