Central Square on Dec. 2nd - Tree just erected

- The annual Third Thursdays series of events in Central Square will come to a conclusion this week, starting with the Tree Lighting on the Common and making its way over to LynnArts and the Museum for holiday shopping and entertainment.

Here is the rundown:

5pm – Tree lighting at City Hall with Santa and singing lead by Follow Hymn. At the conclusion, a free trolley will take people to Central Square.

5:30pm – The Lynn Museum Shop will open up for holiday gift shopping and performer John Root’s holiday songs.

5:30pm – Ornaments at RAW

6:00pm – Lynn Public School’s jazz quartet to play inside LynnArts Holiday Show & Sale. Also inside, The Festival of Trees decorated by local organizations and businesses, raffles that include tickets to The Nutcracker, a chowder tasting, vendors and more.

Other attractions include the option to purchase photos with Santa (or to take your own), a fire juggler, and balloon animals.

The Little Gallery Under The Stairs (you guessed it, downstairs from LynnArts), will also be open with art on display and gifts to purchase.

After the galleries and shops close, LH recommends you head over to Tatiana’s on 70 Market Street for a unique live musical performance by The Van Buren’s or The Blue Ox on Oxford St.
