Lynn-based North Shore Women’s Rugby Kicks off 2013 with its 3rd Annual Silent Auction Fundraiser
Janine Wuschke, President of North Shore Women’s Rugby Football Club (NSWR), announced today that the club will be holding its third annual silent auction fundraiser at O’Neill’s Pub in Salem on February 2nd, 2013 from 6:00 – 9:00pm.
This year auction items will include gift cards to popular local restaurants and retailers, fitness classes, personal training sessions, rugby and workout gear, Boston Red Sox items, Boston Bruins items and gift baskets. Items for auction cover a wide range of interests, and come largely from businesses on the North Shore, down to Boston. The auction will also give away door prize and have a 50/50 raffle.
All funds raise go directly to the North Shore Women’s Rugby Football Club to cover annual costs and purchase equipment. To date, the NSWR Silent Auction Fundraiser has raised over $5,000 which has allowed NSWR to grow from 15 players to well over 30 players.
“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. We appreciate all of our local donors and supporters and look forward to our biggest silent auction fundraiser yet,” said Wuschke.
The North Shore Women’s Rugby 3rd annual silent auction is sponsored by O’Neill’s Irish Pub and Kajko, Weisman, Colasanti & Stein, LLP. Donations and sponsorships are being accepted until January 31, 2013.
Founded in 2004, North Shore Women’s Rugby Football Club (NSWR) is a not-for-profit, division three, rugby club that is based in Lynn, MA. NSWR’s main goal is to promote women’s rugby and women’s athletics around the northeast. The North Shore Women’s Rugby Club travels throughout New England and New York playing and teaching women the sport of rugby. NSWR is committed to giving back to the community by volunteering at local charities.
