Guitarist Mike Mele graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1990 (Cum Laude), where he studied with John Damian and Al Defino. He’s a former student of the late distinguished music educationalist Charles Banacos. Pat Martino, Kenny Burrell, Grant Green, and Wes Montgomery are some of the artists that have most influenced Mike’s melodious style and approach.

Mike has spent the last twenty-five years performing with many jazz and blues greats, including Roy Hargrove, Antonio Hart, Tony Monaco, Bill Pierce, Joe Hunt, Barry Ries, Marty Rowen, Melvin Sparks, Myanna. Mike has been a member of the Ken Clark Organ Trio, and recorded the albums Eternal Funk and Mutual Respect for the distinguished Severn Records label. Mike was also a long-standing member of Michelle Willson’s Evil Gal Festival Orchestra, toured North America and Europe, and released the critically acclaimed album Wake-Up Call for Rounder Records. Mike is also a prominent educator, and has taught guitar lessons through The Music Emporium in Lexington, Massachusetts for over sixteen years.

Bassist David Landoni received his BA from Berklee College of Music in 1986, where he studied bass with John Neves, William Curtis and Whit Browne. He has also studied privately with John Lockwood, Pascale Delache-Feldman and David Clark.
In 1989, David became a member of the Artie Shaw Orchestra under the direction of Dick Johnson.He toured worldwide and performed with such greats as Buddy DeFranco, Bobby Short and Hellen O’Connell. In 1991, David left the road to perform and record with some of New England’s top jazz artists, including Herb Pomeroy, Gray Sargent, Ray Santisi and Mike Renzi. David has also backed up many stars of stage and screen including Mickey Rooney, Donald O’Connor, Kay Starr and Ralna English. In 1999, David became musical director for jazz vocalist Cassandre McKinnley, arranging and co-producing her critically acclaimed CD “Stay the Night.” David also appeared on “The Herb Pomeroy Trio-Live at Cafe Beaujolais.” The CD received 4 1/2 stars from Downbeat Magazine and was named as one of Downbeat’s top 100 CDs of 2000. The trio’s second CD, Aluminum Baby, was released in 2003 and received 4 stars from Downbeat Magazine.David currently freelances and records throughout the New England area with many top flight artists, including NEA Jazz Master Sheila Jordan, Italian trumpet legend Cicci Santucci, Shawnn Montiero, Mike Renzi, Joe Hunt, Tim Ray, Greg Hopkins, Ed Saindon, Brad Hatfield and Eugene Maslov.
David maintains a private teaching studio and also serves on the applied teaching faculty of Salem State University
