‘We are happy to be combining forces this year once again to bring you a city-wide Open Studios event! The Lydia E. Pinkham building, LynnArts and Pick Up Modern & More will feature such an array of talent, you won’t want to miss a single artist. And you won’t have to!
The Downtown Lynn Cultural District is providing patrons with a trolley service to take them from one artist destination to another. We’ll do the cruising, you do the perusing.
The LynnArts portion of ‘Open Studios’, and the trolley ride, will solely take place on Saturday, November 18th, from 10am-5pm. We are fortunate to not only have makers and visual artists in the building, but also everything from music and dance to a resident theatre company. And we’re thrilled to be featuring and selling the work of local artists in our main gallery.
We have so much talent in this city, we want to celebrate it. We hope you’ll join us for this event and support the spectacular work being done!’
Confirmed participants downtown are LynnArts and Pick Up Modern & More.
Pick Up will be distributing discount coupons on the trolley, selling products from local artists, hosting a homemade candy vendor, and having a presentation on the art of micromosaics directly following Open Studios on Saturday. The LynnArts gallery is showing works from all of their resident artists, as well as featuring Arts After Hours. I believe they have just under a dozen artists participating.
The trolley is set to start at LynnArts at 10am and will make a continuous loop throughout the day from there to Pinkham, until 5pm. It takes the train roughly just under 20 minutes to go back and forth. We’ll have a volunteer on board directing people and answering questions. We’ll also be putting up cohesive signage with information in each building regarding the trolley.
